hi, can anyone explain from our gross salary how to fix basic and when should our basic salary be revised whether along with yearly increment or after certian period. uma

Basic salary may varies from 25 % to 60% of your gross...
It depends on the company salary structure.. how they have made the salary break-up.. and how much contents they are taking care of...
Yes at the time of increment, definitely the basic should also be revised...

There are so many companies paying that much Basic salary.. even i know one of the big Textile company.. their salary structure is like this..
Basic - 9000
HRA - 3150
Conv - 825
Spl All - 750
Med - 250
LTA - 225
Gross - 14200
Here you can see the Basic is even more than 60 also...
So it totally depends on company policy regarding the same..
