Hi Devanshee Joshi,
I would like to know, according to the Contract Act, what constitutes the joining date for an employee? Is it 1. the date when the order is issued by the recruiting authority, or 2. when the employee receives the order and joins duty?
Please advise on whether the joining date should be considered as 1 or 2 from the options above.
Additionally, could you please clarify whether government employees are covered under the Contract Act or not?
Regards,
Sanjay
