HR plays a very important role.
1. As a Counselor: HR provides consultations to employees about marital, health, mental, physical, and career problems.
2. Mediator: HR plays the role of a peacemaker during disputes, conflicts between individuals and groups, and management.
3. Spokesman: HR represents the company because they have a better overall picture of the company's operations.
4. Problem Solver: HR solves problems related to overall human resource management and long-term organizational planning.
5. Change Agent: HR introduces and implements institutional changes and installs organizational development programs.
6. Management of Manpower Resources: HR is broadly concerned with leadership in both group and individual relationships, labor-management relations, and many more.

Dear All,
HR plays a key role in any organization. Basically, HR is the mediator between Man and Management. Basic work like salary administration, training and development, recruitment, retention, health and safety, etc., are part of their responsibilities.
Mainly, HR is concerned with employee satisfaction. Therefore, in addition to these tasks, we should focus on various activities that inspire employees to be loyal and long-term assets for the firm. Employee engagement activities, motivational training, and performance appraisals are crucial job functions of the HR department.
Thanks,
Bindiya.

Dear Priyanka,
The HR Management role does not start with the establishment of a firm or company. Within an established organization, it is mainly concerned with recruiting employees and providing them with a healthy and satisfactory environment to work in. This enables every individual to prove themselves as a valuable asset to the company, ultimately leading to increased productivity and profitability for the organization.

Each company has different expectations from their HR department. It comes from the company culture. Some companies mix administration with HR, while in others, it's purely HR. In my opinion, the HR role is to make operational managers the best HR for their department. For this, the HR team has to organize the right training and workshops for better recruitment, career management, appraisals, and through different interviews with their team members, transfer the respective team's feedback to the manager so that he/she can progress in human management of their team. The operational manager is the first HR.
