Hi, Seniors
I am presently working in a logistics company where no HR policies have been amended. i as a HR manager want to take initiative.i have word with my employees no of employees have problem like ..here is no leave policy , no holiday calendar. no insurance benefit.no employee engagement activities.
Even directors are not bother to listen to any person in dat position where sum one want to implement in there existing environment.
infact here is 6 days working most of the employee are 50 or 60+...they dont haVE anything to do in their personal life but youth employees they stretch...with one day off..dats y employee are not happy with the envio.and management too.
Plz help me how effectively i can keep all these points infront of management.first of all i want to implement either saturday shud be a half day or 2nd and 4th sat shud be off. coz already all employees are stretching 1 hour extra daily
plz seniors help me with this.

Dear Manisha,
Firstly, i think you should do a calculation of total working hours in a week & compare with the total output per week.
Work should not be affected, even if it is affecting then also it should not be to a greater extent.
In your post you have mentioned that management is least intrested to make changes.
You will have to bring up strong points, if you really want 2nd, 4th Saturday as hoiliday or half day.
Apart form that you will also have to consider probation period, leave policy, travel policy, reimbursement policy, etc. while making policies, also you will have to make policies as per your company requirement.

Thanks for your reply....i would like to add something.in this organisation as i have already mentioned only 25% young blood are employed.and rest people are working like a machines
it is also impacting on our attrition rate as young employees re leaving but the rest one is still the same..even company has given me this responsibility and even they also want to restructure the company they have hired 2 C.A as a advisor. but they hardly listen to anyone.
