Salary breakup has changed now as the new Bill 2015 has already been introduced.

Basic Salary = 40% and 50% of gross salary (N-metro, Metro)

HRA = 40% and 50% of Basic (N-metro, Metro)

Convenience Allowance = 1600 (Changed from 800 to 1600 in this Bill 2015)

Medical Allowance = 2083 (Changed from 1250 to 2083 in this Bill 2015). Taxable without presenting the medical bills.

Other Allowances = adjusted to balance with the gross Salary.

Deductions:

ESI = 1.75% of gross salary

PF = 12% of basic (employees have new benefits included in this Bill 2015, refer to that bill. Now employees have the option to opt for the pension scheme or not.)
