Dear,
Application of Six Sigma in HR is a bit different and difficult from other areas that are easily amenable to measurement. The concept is particularly useful where repetitive tasks are involved and tries to reduce the delay, errors, or losses in the process.
When we think of HR processes, one item that immediately comes to mind is the HR response time in dealing with employee requests or grievances. Let us say that the target is that the response time is fixed as 'TODAY ITSELF,' that means any employee application that comes to HR would be dealt with and replied to that day itself. Hence, there will be nothing pending for the next day. Such prompt service will be appreciated and would go a long way in enhancing employee satisfaction.
However, a word of caution! Since we essentially deal with human beings, they cannot be reduced to mere numbers, and such an approach could be counterproductive.
