Hi,
Recently when i was in a workshop i heard the guest talking about moving from uni dimensional to 'multidimensional competency mapping'.. Though he did not talk much on the topic he just shared as this is the topic of his current research project. Was there any research conducted on this previously. COuld someone throw light on the above topic.
Thanks,
Manikandan .B

Hello Mr. Manikandan,
Competency Mapping is a vast subject. One off-shoot of this is Position Clarification exercise of Mercer, USA. I am a trained HR guy on this and have conducted this PC exercise for hundreds of positions during my stay in L&T and also conducted workshops in many of our Joint Venture companies. I have infact prepared a ppt on competency mapping also.
If you are professionaly interested in carrying out such an exercise for your organisation or business unit, just remember me.
Best wishes

I donot have anything on career progression for non-engineering sectors. I have, all along been, working in an engineering organisation.
However, I can work out and give you, provided I get sufficient inputs and data from other media organisations. It entails lot of effort & energy and cant be done gratis ! Perhaps you can engage me as your Consultant.
Best wishes
