I’m planning to build an HRMS application... Was just wondering if I can use DWH(Data Warehousing) concepts in it?

HRMS system will cover your day to day process and actvity takes place in HR department across other functional groups while DWH woould be used for analysis, statistical purpose and summary reports. You can surely merged DWH in HRMS but keep it's functionality comletely separate as it's requiment is restricted to particular user.

Yes, you could use "datawarehousing concepts" in your application.
But which of the datawarehousing concepts do you wish to use? If I were you, I would first start with a problem statement in terms of what functionality is required. Only much, much later would I worry about the technologies I would like to employ.

I respectfully disagree with umalme.
The basic database architecture of a relational database used for an HRMS and a data warehouse preclude them from being "merged" or in a shared database. The data warehouse simply uses different data structures to more easily facilitate multidimensional analytics and business intelligence.
An HRMS and relational database are optimized in data structure to enhance the efficiency of data transactions.
The 2 types of applications by definition are separate data environments.
Just my opinion.
