In the case of Group D WB Govt. employee, GPF subscription deducted from the salary of a particular month is entered as a subscription of the same month in the GPF Ledger in some WB Govt. Office. Is it the correct method of maintaining the GPF Account of Gr. D employee? I think the procedure is wrong. Amount deducted from the salary of a particular month should be entered as a subscription of the following month. If the amount deducted is entered in the same month, interest calculation may be wrong, and a higher amount of interest may be allowed to the employee concerned. Expert view on this matter is expected.
