Dear HR folks, I joined one IT company as a HR executive on September I am paid 5k per month, in the offer letter they mentioned after confirmation I will be paid 10k per month. I have completed 6 months now, but they are telling that " We have confirmed your position, but we will pay you only 5 k for the next 3 months". Its sure We will raise your salary during the appraisal. What should I do now? I have a commitment period of 18 months, if I resign in between they will not provide me the relieving letter. How should I proceed this? Can I resign the job and search for new one or else can I ask for the rights to the management? Please help me out. I am under deep frustration.

Wait for 3 more months as the company might want to appraise you with all the employees and as the cycle of their appraisal will be after 3 months so they are asking you to wait.This is the practice in many organisations so don't worry.
Did they give you anything in writing about salary increase after completion of probation period? if they did..then talk to the HR Manager and your supervisor as well.
Don't plan to leave the job in haste, you have a commitment period of 18 months so it can create problems for you.
Stay calm..and 3 months will be gone...

The scenario is like they would like to confirm my position but they haven't sent me an email for confirmation and also they are negotiating the salary at this juncture. They discussed about this only when I asked them the status of my position. I can wait till 3 months, if they fix the salary as 10k by this appraisal I will be paid 10k for the next 9 months. If I am given 10k now also, I will receive the same salary for the next one year. I am just asking them why they are not paying me as they promised to me. This is the only question I have, I am not very keen about money. I am just asking them to stick to the words as they promised to me in the offer letter.

If that is the case you should talk to the HR head or your boss and seek the answers. Talk to them openly and clearly ask them whether they are going to increase your salary or not.
There are chances that they might give you arrears for these 3 months which is a practice in many companies.
Send a mail to the seniors about your confirmation letter and increment both mentioning the clause as written in the offer letter.
Lets see how it goes then....

Am so sorry to hear that your probation has been extended for a period of 3months but did you find out on whats grounds they gave you this extension. Did you sign any paper that stated that your probation has been extended? Did they organise for a meeting to convey the reasons to you?
If not please find out the reason behind such decision. Talk to your reporting head and get it clarified. If they say its performance, then try to screen on what areas are you lagging behind, what sort of improvement are they seeking from you (or) are they expecting too much out of you (or) its just a reason picked up for creating an extension (or) is that a internal politics (or) your boss is not having good impression on you (or) they are planning to give you a hike along with all the employees of the company at one shot, if so are they going to pay arreas to you for the 3months extension period etc..
If you have good friends in that company then enquire(never reveal your current situation to them) whether anyone has faced such situations. How genuine are they with their employees? Do they keep up their promises? What about the growth level? etc..

Please ask for an explanation on what basis an extension is given, you can speak to your manager or HR Manager and ask for feedback on your performance.
Generally with extension of probation a reason for such step is also mentioned, be it your performance or any other area where the performance was not satisfactory.
I would still suggest to wait for 3 months, and then change your job if you won't get any letter of confirmation and increment.

When I asked my colleague (she joined with me), she didn't get any confirmation letter from my TL.My TL have completed B.E (CSE) by 2008 and he is into HR field for the past one and half year. I don't know on what metrics they gave me this feedback.

While I asked about the reason for extension, they told that you were not patience and your performance in recruitment was poor.
They gave me two requirements,
Java - SAAS based Cloud Computing - 3-4years experience - Have only 3 profile from Naukri. Its not matching my requirements.
Mobile application developer Lead (Iphone and Android) - 3-4 years experience - Have 67 shortlisted profiles from Naukri, but around 10 profiles were suitable for the position. Candidates expect more pay which my company is not willing to pay. Since the technology is in high demand. All the other profiles were under 2 years of experience. So I asked my senior, he told not to work on that profile.
This is my position. I am not supposed to work with consultants.
