Interpersonal skills, Building rapport, Types of customers - Handling objections & disputes, Handling irate customers, Time Management.

These are some ideal programs for a construction company since delays in projects often occur due to various reasons. This is primarily caused by a lack of proper coordination between engineers, finance, sales, and CRM departments.

We have conducted several programs for construction companies. If you are looking to outsource training, please contact me at my email address: shashangan@gmail.com or call 9980 636 121.

Dear Nidhi,

This is in addition to what Gautham has said. Construction companies have a huge inventory of raw material. In fact, it accounts for about 70% or more of their total expenses. Against this backdrop, training on "Purchase and Inventory Management" acquires a lot of importance.

I have a client who is in the top 5 intra-companies in India. The current value of their inventory (across all projects) is Rs 1,500 crore. Of this, about Rs 300 crore is inventory of non-moving items! This huge accumulation has resulted from incorrect decisions by the project managers. Now, imagine how much working capital is blocked in inventories.

I suggest including the topic of "Purchase and Inventory Management" as one of the top priorities. If you wish to conduct training on this topic, please feel free to contact me.

Thanks,

Dear Mr. Nidhi,

You need to identify the modules required at various levels, which should be based on EMPLOYEE SKILLS (competency can also be included). Training methodology remains the same whether you go for AUDIOVISUAL or MENTORING (COUNSELING). Kindly concentrate on TEAM LEADERS (SUPERVISORS, FOREMEN) and WORKERS (Technicians, general category workers, etc). You need to bridge this gap as most of the concerns are raised from these categories (employees) only.

Nowadays, NON-TECHNICAL SKILLS (SOFT SKILLS include INTERPERSONAL, EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION - ORAL/WRITTEN, and TEAM BUILDING/BONDING, PERFORMANCE-BASED LEADERSHIP, ATTITUDE, TIME MANAGEMENT, ETC.) are a major requirement for productivity (performance at individual levels).

With profound regards,

A construction company needs training for the staff on civil engineering knowledge and quality assurance in construction. We have asked many project managers/supervisors a simple question: where does one find the exact 12 dimensions of a 12mm rebar used in construction, and what grades are used. We were shocked to note that none could give a proper reply; only the designers seem to have knowledge. Therefore, we suggest a module on civil engineering basics for all field staff to be provided.

A quality job does not cost an organization extra, but poor quality definitely does. If the organization is involved in steel construction, field staff need knowledge on welding, fasteners, painting, etc. Another training need is safety, as we noticed that many are not aware of standard PPE for people working at heights.
