Hi all,
Please guide me. I am an MBA in HRD and responsible for conducting a training program for ground-level staff in a retail industry. What should be the parameters for an effective training program? It should not be too professional.
Thank you.

Here are some ideas for ensuring that the training program is effective. Ensure that:
-the training objectives are clear and stated in behavior terms; what it is you want the trainees to be able to “do” following the training.
-the training program contains sufficient real-life excercises for trainees to practice.
-the trainer is well-prepared.
-the trainer has great interpersonal skills.
-the trainees are assessed on what they have learned.
-managers and supervisors are engaged in the training design and delivery process at every step
-the training materials are of high quality.
-the training is “chunked” into meaningful segments.
