Normally the workmen are engaged on temporary basis. For them the Weekly Off is being paid as per their attendance basis as the monthly wages is divided by 26 days and paid for the No of days present. Hence the weekly off is being paid alongwith equated daily wages. If they work on Sundays the wages will be paid double the amount.
Further they are eligible for Leave Wages at the time of retrenchment / resignation / termination /retirement / dismissal whatever it may be, must be paid with 1 day wages for every completed 20 working days he worked.
