Hi, Please help me with a query on ESIC:
Our company's ESIC registration copy has been lost. Is there any way we can get a duplicate copy? If so, please let me know the process.

Dear Raja.
As far my information goes, ESIC office does not give any Registration Copy to the Employer for its establishment's coverage under ESI Act. Rather they give only Coverage Copy where ur establishment code is mentioned.
As per section 10B: EMPLOYEES' STATE INSURANCE (GENERAL) REGULATIONS, 1950 :
(d) Upon receipt of the completed employer's registration form, the appropriate Regional Office shall, if satisfied that the factory or the establishment is one to which the Act applies, allot to it an employer's code number (unless the factory or the establishment has already been allotted an Employer's Code Number) and shall inform the employer of that number.
If u want ur coverage copy then u may contact ur appropriate Regional Office, they will provide another copy...
for that they do not need any Form...
Then also if u think, u may lodge a General Dairy with local police station for lost of ur establishment Coverage Copy before going to Regional Office. And submit the GD Copy with a photo copy of ur coverage copy....
I think they wil provide another Coverage Copy with the same number....

REMEMBER, IF THE DEPARTMENT DOES NOT HEED TO YOUR DEMAND, YOU MAY ALSO APPLY FOR A CERTIFIED COPY OF THE SAME SINCE IT IS A PUBLIC DOCUMENT. PAY RS. 10/- AND APPLY UNDER THE RTI HOWEVER
