ISO/TS 16949:2002 is the automotive industry standard and contains all of ISO 9001:2000, along with automotive sector-specific requirements. (Note: TS stands for Technical Specification.)

AS9100 is the aerospace industry standard and it incorporates all the elements of ISO 9001, plus additional elements unique to the aerospace industry. (Note: AS stands for Aerospace Standard.)
