Dear Member,

Printed abstracts of different Acts and Rules are readily available at the shops of the city book-sellers who have records relating to Factories and other Acts, registers, and records.

Dear Upasana Das,

We do not have any special Act or provisions for the exhibition of abstracts of different Acts & Rules for retail shops. We need to first examine which Acts are applicable to your establishment/shop, e.g., The Minimum Wages Act, 1948, The Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972, The Maternity Benefit Act, 1961, etc., and then refer to your applicable State Rules to find out the specific rule that directs us for the exhibition of abstracts of the Act & Rules. These related Rules specify the language(s) in which we are to display the abstracts and where they are to be displayed. In general, I suggest displaying all abstracts in English as per the requirements of the different applicable Acts. If the law enforcement agency requires display in any other language, then also exhibit the abstracts in that language for compliance purposes.

With Regards,
R.N. Khola
