Dear Smitha,

It's really a good one as we have the same in our company as the "Bring a Buddy" scheme, but I feel yours is better as it has a referral form which can be implemented in my organization.

Thanks a ton.

Regards,

Dear All,

I am Supraja Muralidharan, a new entrant. I am working as an HR executive in UAE. Appended is another format of the Employee Referral scheme; see if this can help as well.

The highlights of the Referral scheme are as follows:
1) We receive applications of potential candidates through our employees and would like to reward them and encourage this practice further.
2) The scheme would help us to be cost-effective; it will reduce high-priced database access and avoid consultant fees.
3) Our employees have an operational understanding of the various roles and responsibilities of the business; they will be more likely to introduce candidates who match position requirements and fit our culture.
4) Employees will feel valued when a recommended candidate is considered, and they know they can benefit (Referral amount paid per grade) from referring others to the company.
5) Helps us to get reliable resources and also to forecast how fast the vacancies are getting filled.
6) Employees will be entitled to the scheme only for each successful referral, and there are no restrictions on the number.

SCOPE:

The incentive will be given to our employee who makes the referral upon the new recruit's successful completion of his/her probation period in the organization. However, the policy does not cover:
Members of the HR Department and Directors.

SCHEDULE:

GRADE REWARD
8 AED 3,000
7 AED 2,500
6 AED 2,000
5 AED 1,500
4 AED 1,000
3 and below AED 500

No incentive will be paid to the employee who makes the referral if the applicant:
1. Has already applied to the company via an external source.
2. Has already been referred by another staff member.
3. Was previously employed by Centena and left.
4. Is a relative.

REFERRAL PROCESS:

1. The list of vacant positions will be advertised through internal communication with the location, Grade.
2. Employees need to send the resumes of the referred candidate to the HR mail along with the employee referral form (Attached).
3. Employees will be kept posted on the status of the referred candidate through the HR department.
4. The referred candidate would go through the regular process of selection and recruitment.
5. Successful referrals would be paid the Referral amount through payroll post the new recruit's satisfactory completion of the probation period.

Smita,

Good scheme, one suggestion - you could give an additional bonus to an employee whose more than three referrals have materialized.
