Hi, I'm a new entrant to this community. I find the information here very useful. I am an MBA student in my 3rd semester at Anna University, specializing in HR and Finance. I am currently doing my summer internship in a company. My project is to design a retention framework for the company. Can anyone please give me some out-of-the-ordinary retention strategies that are used in your company or that you know of?

I have found a few gamified activities on this site that I found interesting for highlighting certain points within the organization (I'm not sure if you can call them part of retention strategies). However, I need more retention strategies that I can utilize. Can anyone please help me?

Dear Anjuag,

Respect, recognition, and reward are fundamental to retaining employees. All HR policies and strategies should be designed with these fundamentals in mind. It is important to create strategies that enhance fun, flexibility, a friendly environment, fast learning, future growth, and financial rewards for employees.

There is a proverb that says, "It is easy to buy an elephant, but it is very difficult to maintain one." Similarly, it is easier to attract great employees than it is to retain them. Keeping great employees can be very challenging.

Thank you.
