Hi, there is no particular law regarding this that you can kept the original documents of any employee to retain him/her with in the organization. This may be depend upon the mutul understanding of employee and employer. If employee is agree than no problem at all. If employee is not agree than employer may loose the best calibure. I would like to say that HR should take initiative to retain the employee not upon this that we will require the original documents of the employees.
