Dear All,
I have come across a very absurd problem. We make use of Time watch software to trace the attendance of the employees.I have noticed that there is error in the timings of the person who runs it and furnishes the data.
for example : have a look at the attached sheet
the first data was taken when software was run on 27 Jan and secon was when on 2 feb.
obviouly times are changed but when i tried to run the software yesterday then it showed me the timings which were as on 2 feb
Now my point is how is it possible
Either the true times were those of 2 feb only then y on 27 jan it showed wrong? and which out of them is right???????
Please suggest can such modifications be done??
SENIORSSSSSSSSS please guideeeeeee

which software you are using, and time can be changed once it is loaded into software. else if same person punches the card two times then there can be conflict

Thanks Ravi for replying.we are using TimeWatch.person didnt swipe card twice as person left by that time n didnt come back.I am surprised how come one software run thrice gives different times. In my example sheet it can be noticed that times are changed. So how did person manage to do so,and this time is changed only for the person who runs this software.
My point is: can changes be saved permanently as i ran it yesterday but it showed me changed timings ?
which of the 2 timings is correct ?

Hi Neha,
Data can be change by the other person who is authorized to access the database so called administrator.
In my previous organization we were using Time Spain Software and access was available with 4 persons.
We may increase or decrease the contents to use by the other persons who are using the software with the help of setting. We can increase or decrease the users also.

Dear Neha,
Don’t bother about what was happened in past but think about present what you can do next. My suggestion is – “you have to take backup of your data on your system on monthly basis and save it for future reference”. Complain about data manipulating to the high authority or your immediate boss. Surely IT people will catch the person who manipulates the data.

I agree with you Pankaj.I had already forwarded the complaint to the higher authorities but the mess is when i challenged the data of Jan,Feb,March,April in which some times like in my example sheet have been changed ,the software was run again and we found that the data which came is changed one. It was unbelievable because i thought that the person modifies it while importing to excel and then sends me but in original too it was changedd
I hope im able to explain whats on my mind:icon9:

Yes it is possible to change the data in original. Don’t allow anybody to take the backup for you – do by yourself. If you don’t know how to do it, then learn from them. That will help you to learn the basics of that software.
