Hi all,
My query is this:
Company X is headquartered in Mumbai and has the Establishment Code No. obtained for the same location. However, it has various branches in other states. Does this company required to obtain multiple establishment code number for each of its branches/work locations? Or every company will just have only one code number?
Kindly verify. Thanks for your time.

dear
i donot agree with the suggestion of mr shashank and you need not to take seprate code for all braches ,it is a central act and you can operate with one code only.
however you can take seprate subcode but for maintaining record it will be impractical.
so operate with one code only legally no problem.

Suggestion of Mr. Malik is right. You can operate with one code and no need to take separate code for each branches . Regards, Sivadasan

You can operate with a same code, however in some states they may ask you to open a subcode under main code, where you need to open the code and all your monthly remittance, return needs to done separately.
