We have got ESI code for our H.O. at Varanasi. But we are also having our branches all over India, where we deduct ESI from our employees wages and deposit ESI amount through challans (sometimes in our clients ESI account and some times in our code). My question is that whether centralised ESI code can be applied for to enable us to deposit ESI of all our branches in one code OR ESI code varies from state to state? Please advise.

ESI department will issue to a sub-code No. according to your sites. You will follow sub-code No. in different states.

Each compay will have a commen ESI code with it head office address , if the office has branchs in different cities the branch HR has to apply for ESI subcode by going to ESI department before going there are few necessay documents to be taken a xerox copy of your Main (Head Offcie ESI Code ) , leese deed and you need to get a application form from esi ofcie for applying for Sub Code
