I am srikanth from hyderabad. I work in IT field on .Net.I have 4+ years experience. We had some layoffs in our company as part of the cost cuttings due to poor financial condition of the company. and I too had to Resign from my job. now iam on job trials . can anybody suggest what reason i have to tell to the HR of the companies when they call up. would I be considered for interview or after interview. How should I make up my resume. I can't write Currently Working company. Please adivise me in this regard.

You can just mention that presently facing resignation period....
&
Reason for the change as Due to the retrenchment the company has asked many of the employee's to leave...

Hi Srikanth,
Whenever you go for the interview you can always say that due to recession there was layoff in the Co and because of that u lost your job.I dont think there is any need to hide from the HR of other Companies.

thanks for ur advice. I got a feeling that there will less chances of my cv getting shorlisted. actually i sent my resume to some companies before christmas, till now i didn't get any reponse back from them.so i was wondering if they are prefering candidates who are currently working.
