Hi,
My name is Surjit. I am from Jammu. 2 days back I got an offer letter from Genpact in Voice process for Consumer Fullfilment(CF). The problem is in the first phase of my interview the person from Genpact offered me Rs. 9500 after deductions and the process according to him was Collections.
But when I went to Chandighar for receving my offer letter the HR there said that my salary will be Rs. 9000 after deductions and my process will be customer care for inbound process.
Now the problem is my family is not supporting me for such salary as I have to work in Gurgaon.
My questions are : -
1. Shall I join this company? because first they say one thing and then they say another thing
How can I trust them?
2. They have wrongly attracted me towards their job because I never wanted to go for customer care and everything got cleared at the time when I got the Offer letter. I am confused wether join or not.
3. If I don't want to join this company Can I refuse the offer? I mean to say that after accepting their offer letter can I refuse it.
4. If I quit wether I will blacklisted?
5. My family is insisting me to prepare for MBA.
What should I do either search a job for becoming independent or prepare for MBA and then job?

Dear surjit,
As you dont wana go for the customer care kind of a job so where the question of accepting the offer. You are not intrested in the profile of job they are offering you so in my opinion you should not accept the offer.
and no company has the right to make you blacklisted.
Look as per your decision of pursing your MBA its totally depends on you and your intrest. Dont do becoz yr family is insisting you to do that.Look at all the possibilites opened for you, think and then take a decision.
And one more thing Keep Smiling:)

If you are getting chance to study you must prefer it first. Jobs are plenty for people with goods skills and qualification.
If financial parameters are not permitting you to pursue further than you may prefer this job. As far as I know Genpact is a good reputed company. Though you have been offered less amt. then the fixed amt. you may join the company as it is one of the best BPO company.
If you think you have been cheated it is better to clarify from the higher official of the company clarifying what you have been told and what you are being offered .
All the best.
