Dear seniors
I have doubt regarding the minimum wage to be implemented.
My question is
How can we know about the minimum wage ?I mean the amount to be paid,please get me out of this confusion and guide me to destination.

Hello Poorna,
In Gujarat every six month state Government declares the Minimum Wage including special incentive for all category.Cycle is April to Sept & Oct to March, you just needs to follow the guidelines of minimum wage as per your establishment. Put Minimum wage as your basic to count PF, Bonus,Gratuity.
Now a days every Statutory payments going for online module so in future they will easily track that how many companies not following the Government rules and regulations.

Dear Poorna,
The rates of wages under the Minimum Wages Act for the unskilled, semiskilled, skilled categories of employees are notified by the Central Governent and respective State Governments every six months. The period is from April to September and October to March. The notification shall be available from the office of the Labour Commissioners, Central or State. The rates of central or state whichever is higher shall be payable. The rates of wages contain basic and special allowance and the rate is to be multiplied with 26 for arriving at monthly wages, as it includes the wages for weekly off also.
For a comprehensive view of minimum wages declared by Governments, you may visit website 'paycheck.in'. For details of the minimum wages, please read the Minimum Wages Act.

Dear Poorna,
If we approach AP Chamber of Commerce and Industry or become membership with them, updates will be sent on regular basis. Based on their information, the minimum wages can be implemented in any organisation. Otherwise, if we approach to Labour Department or by browsing in Google, we can find out the revisions from time to time.

Dear Poorna,
Central as well as State Governments issues notifications for wages under the Minimum Wages Act every six months . There are various sub-categories of workers unskilled, semiskilled, skilled , highly skilled etc. categories . The notifications are made available from the office of the Labour Commissioner. The rates of wages contain details like Basic Wages , HRA , other applicable allowances etc for arriving at monthly wages.
For better understanding of the minimum wages, please go thru the bare act Minimum Wages Act to understand how these rates are deduced.
