Dear Experts, Need your guidance on below, please suggest as per PF law. If the query is already replied to on the portal, please share the link.
In the following first two conditions employee is liable to contribute to PF on joining.
1. If basic(plus DA) is equal to /less than 15 K/ month
2. If basic(plus DA) is more than 15K /month but he is already a member of PF
3. If his basic( plus DA) is more than 15K/month and he is already not a member of PF, he has an option not to become a PF member on joining the new organization.
Query
The employee is one who meets the above 3rd condition and did not become a member of PF on joining. After 5 years in the organization without PF, one day he comes with a request that he wants to become PF member.
Will PF Act allow this?
If yes, will the act not become an act on conveniences?
If not, why should the act stop an employee from becoming a member of PF?
