My name is Shimit .P. Mathur, I am working as a Management Trainee-Human Reource in an RECRUITMENT INDUSTRY FIRM. I am a part of a CORPORATE HR TEAM i.e. INTERNAL HR TEAM. I am coming accross to each & every aspect of HUMAN RESOURCE MANGEMENT.
The only one aspect which i am not coming accross is " INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS ". I want to gather knowledge of Industrial Relations Or Employee Relations. I want to know what are the policies of Human Resource in an Manufacturing Industry.
I request you seniors to help me with the topics which are covered under the heading "INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS" Or "Employee relations". I know that i can find them on google or citehr itself, but i want to know Practical knowledge of Industrial HR not theoritical one.
It will great experience for me if you can help me explain the Aspects of Industrial Relations.

dear shimit,
with my little knowledge, i feel Industrial relations is not that area where you can apply the theoretical knowledge to maintain good or harmonious employee relations in the industry. It requires your common sense in un common situation to handle the situation. And your past tricks may not work next time it depends upon the IR officer individual capacity and it will varies from individuals. And no theory will recommend a SOP for maintain good industrial relations.
Further we cannot bench mark / copy one industry’s practice to another.

Thank you very much sir, but the thing is that i am just looking for the TOPICS which all are included in the subject of INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS...i know its a very Practical subject, but my idea is until or unless i m not having any Theoritical Knowledge, No Manufacturing Industry will give me chance for getting a Practical knowledge or a chance to work with them. Please seniors help me out with that......!!!!

I had got many training as HR from automobile industries. My profile was handling training and development, skill mapping, PMS , employees engagement, rewards and recognition etc but I don't have much exposure in IR, compliance , payroll , social audit etc due to which I am not able to grab good opportunity. I try to brush my knowledge through books and texts but practically I am not having that much knowledge.
Because of this I am loosing my confidence level.
