Dear Seniors, One of my senior employee is against rule of one half day deduction equal to 3 late marks, he is telling as per minimum wages act 1936 section 8 deductions are not allowed. Please suggest how to answer employee because 3 late marks rule is important for discipline.

Your senior is absolutely right. Employee needs to follow the attendance rules and we need to make them aware of the need for such rules, but not penalize for defaults always.
Instead you make a note of the late comings and counsel them, issue reprimands to improve.
