Dear Experts, Would like ask you about what is the better practice in terms of salary deductions of the employees for covid 19 situation in an construction based companies since organization is not generating the revenue.

As per Central Government directive/advisory, employers shall not deduct any amount from the pay packet of their employees. Many discussions have been emerged in this platform.
Few employers who have filed petitions in Supreme Court challenging Central Govt's directive in this regard, have not received any stay in this matter, from Supreme Court (rather Supreme Court have refused to Stay on this).
Hence , decision of whether full salary is to be paid or not, shall purely rests upon the employer;
and the freedom of facing any legal ramifications, if at all arises in future, shall also rests with the employer concerned.
