Dear Sarath Krishna,
How can a prospective appointee claim salary from the prospective employer before his joining the services?
Lock down due to Corona outbreak is a national disaster beyond every one's control; therefore one cannot find fault with the prospective employer extending your joining time. Thus the period between your formal relief from the current job consequent on your resignation and your actual joining in the new job for which you stand appointed is just a phase of unemployment in your career and the consequential pecuniary loss if any caused to you in this regard is to be borne by yourself only. Alternatively, you can contact the new employer and explore the possibility, if any of joining and working from home during lock down the extension of which is likely .
