What's your requirement, how many of such employees have to be tracked? What are the measures you have taken at the work places to check & detect infection at the entry point itself? Your tracking starts at the gates itself. Practically, to start with you could only use thermal appliances to record the body temperature and thru' professionals who are wearing PPE you have to ascertain from the employees experiencing any symptoms in the recent past. Ask them to declare in a format giving details of any infections in their family, neighbours, in the vicinity/apartment complex, locality etc. By way of such measures only an establishment would come to know of infected personnel and initiate follow up action for quarantine etc. Govts have already circulated SOP, filing of data to the Nodal officers, and other compliance. Tracking them will be necessary once there is symptoms and suspicion of symptoms. Even if there is no symptoms reported, asymptomatic cases can be prevalent. In such circumstances, establishments resort to voluntary lab tests randomly in a cycle so that in a given period almost all under go such tests to rule out any infection spread in workplaces. Nowadays authorities doesn't resort to cardoning of the entire area wherever corona +ve cases have surfaced. Even persons with mild symptoms like cough, running nose and such other associated conditions are asked for self/home quarantine for about 7 days to start with. By the time the results of lab tests either +ve or -ve will be available and follow up action could be carried on. Even after 7 months of outbreak the results of lab tests are not made available before 48 hours. If authorities cut down the time taken for lab tests, say within a few hours, early detection of infection & quarantine measures could be resorted to contain spread & recovery. Care should also be taken to address & tackle re-infection reported in the recent months.
