I wish to understand if Saturday and Sunday are nonworking days and an employee sends leave intimation from Monday to Friday and resumes the job on Monday, will the paid leave get counted for Monday to Fri, i.e. 5 days or Mon to Sun, i.e 7 days?

If the employee returns to work on Monday, no way the weekly off days would become leave days. Therefore, leave will be from Monday to Friday only and Saturday and Sunday should not be marked as leaves but as weekly off only.
