Hi,
I have joined new company as a Sr. HR Executive with just 1.5 year experience & the HR policies are not set correctly here, basically all the employees are confused with LEAVE POLICIES & how they are calculated per month & how the pay cuts are happening.
My HR Mgr is not co-oprative & not helping me on this (or even he is confused), since I am the face of HR in my company all the employees are asking me on this issue.
Employees here are asking me how many leaves they are entitled to per month (as per HR Policies Act) & on what basis the salaries are getting deducted. I do not know how it was happening earlier but now I have to make changes.
If any one can help me to set my basics right & let me know how leaves are calculated & how to calculate LOP's, Casual Leaves, Sick Leaves. I have a basic idea on leaves but policies in this company are confusing me further (it will take hours & this post will never end if I start listing my company policies).
Looking forward for answers.
Thanks,
Raj

If you and your management are committed in running a professionally-managed organisation, only then your ideas will succeed. It is essential to have a structured organisation with implementation of various policies, Standard Operating Procedure etc. The commitment has to come from the top and no use if you alone show inclination and interest. I have advised several small and medium size companies in karnataka in the past three yeas and I always find that the bottleneck for the bottle always at the TOP i.e. the resistance to change is always at the top.
So you have a frank discussion with your top brass and come to an understanding whether you really require all these things. If yes and in the affirmative, you can get in touch with me and I will help you with lot of formats, templates, structure etc., ofcourse at a small fees. (Please appreciate that there is nothing called free lunch !).
Best wishes
