Our CEO is retiring next month and new CEO has already taken charge.. So currently we hve two CEOs. The new CEO wants to throw a surprise farewell party to old CEO. He has given Event Management resposibility to me...
We are planning to invite all the Big shots of the Co. like Board of directors and all + all employees and their families.
We have to do all things from priniting invitations to deciding gift, and all other things...
we are planning for 3 hrs party... As all seniors will be there, some speeches and all will b thr..... But I also want to keep party lively and happening.
So Plz help me. Guys Plzzz shoot up with your suggstions for party.

Try and collect information about your company and make it into a slide show.
This slide show should contain key people and their key achievements
All how the company has transformed over a period of time.
All this should be done by way of photographs

Probably you can take a small video and ask your employees to talk few words about your old CEO and give him best wishes for his future and make a CD of it and play it for him in the crowd trust me this would be a good gift & memory for him from your company.
We did this for our CEO for his b'day, he was into tears and told that this was the best gift he ever got.

I agreed with sarithar reply, you can also inform your staff members to speak about your CEO capture their voice & play it in the party... also conduct any small game & it should be focus on your CEO...

u can probably go for some video shoot or snap shot of the achievement and the major milestone tht the company has achieved under ur old CEO's leadership..this need to b presentd by your new CEO.
u can also do a presentaion of those moment which was captured durin his tenure....
"JOURNEY TOWARDS THE DESTINY "prepare some good article with all the snaps and achievement and copy it in CD and present ur CEO .. i think this would b the best gift to the Captain (CEO)from his Sailors (His team)of his ship(Circle,ofc)
