Hi, I have been working for company A and resigned in 2022. While working for company A I have done moonlighting and got terminated from company B. Now when I join company C will the PF deductions create any issue for my BGV. How can I overcome this issue

Hi,

Whether PF got deducted in Company A & B? In case of no PF deduction in Company B there will not be any issue. However if PF is deducted @ Company B there will be mismatch issue in DOL. Also through UAN your employer can see your past employment details.

There is no valid explanation for dual employment, that too for a month. This would be detected in no time during BGV. You can be honest and state the facts.

Hi,
Firstly for a dual employment you should be clear that as per the company norms stipulates about dual employment. In case it is not them it is a violation. You may have chosen dual employment for economic reasons or whatever, the undertaking should have been legal.

However happend is happend weather is was done intentionally or unintentionally, you have to set right the anomaly. You can request your old HR Colleagues to provide a good reference about you, to an extent it will mitigate your problems.
All the best for your new assignment.
Regards.

Hi Sir, thank you for the info. I completely agree with you on this as it is a mistake. Unlike me many of the employees are facing an issue of moonlighting/dual employment. So what we have done is past is a mistake and we are really sorry for that, but now coming to the current situation, if the companies found that we have done dual employment in the past they can ask us to sign any agreement like where in if they found that we are doing dual employment after joining their organization, they have complete right to take legal actions against the employee. May be by this way an employee will not repeat the mistake and be loyal to the company they serve.

Hi, So you mean to say a paper agreement have more value than your own conscience ? As one grew in terms of age and experience , should compulsorily follow work ethics.

Hi sir , i don't mean that paper agreement has more value . It's just a thought from my side. Iam just a common man who has made a mistake in career. Same like me there are many more people who have done this dual employment knowingly/ unknowingly. Just because of this minute mistake whole of our careers are at risk . All the education or effort and the skills which i have put to come to this stage would be in vain. It is just my thought that if people want to change , can't they be given one chance.

Hi,

It's ok. To err is human. But what is important is learning from mistakes and not repeating the same mistake. Normally there use to be one clause in all appointment letter that employee has to dedicate full time for the company and should not indulge in other business or work.... etc.

Appreciate you that you are realizing what you did is wrong.
