Our factory is situated 60 km far away from our city. and our corporate office is located in vadodara city. our factory is registered under factories act. but for corporate office i need to know if there is any act which is applicable and we are 8 employees working at our corporate office. We are following all rules and regulations according to factory act.
kindly guide me what should i do. Should I have to follow as per S&E act?

To your Corporate Office, S&E Act is applicable and you required to obtain Registration Certificate under the S&E Act.
Any business premises other than Factory under the FA, you need to obtain Registration Certificate under the S&E Act irrespective you employ any person or not. To obtain the Registration Certificate under the S&E Act, you need to approach the authority under this Act in your locality where such premises is situated. Each such premises will have separate Registration Certificate. To such premises, the rules and regulations under Factory Act will not apply. You are wrong in applying the rules and regulations of Factory to your Corporate Office. Rules and regulations under the S&E Act are applicable to your Corporate Office.
Certain areas are exempted from obtaining Registration Certificate under S&E Act as per the notifications by your State Government.

In Tamil Nadu there is no provision for registration of any Shop or Establishment as per the Tamil Nadu Shops and Establishments Act 1947 and the Rules framed thereunder. Members are requested to inform the status in various States to help others to understand and arrange for proper compliance.
