Dear, We had a proprietorship firm under the name of SI Interpack, Now we have created a company as SI Interpack Pvt ltd with the same nos. of manpower, same load, and same management. How can we change the name in the Factory license please suggest.

You need to give details if you want people to help you.
In general, you need to apply to the authority and get the license changed.
But whether that is allowed or you need to apply for a new license depends on the factory rules in your state and whether the inspector considers this a change of structure or a change of ownership.

Dear Taruna Priya,
You have to notify all the authority under PF,ESI, Director of Factory and labour office in regard to change in name of establishment and the name of authorized person. Contract the Factories Inspector Office for the amendment required for change of name of the establishment either in Form II/II (a) or Form IV as relevant for the provision under your state rules.

Prabhat Ji Is this a change of name? The entire entity owning the factory has changed Will they not need a new factor licence? (of course, we do not know the state in which the person is based)

To my mind it appears that an application for amendment of the name of the licensee is suffice as only the constitution of the establishment has changed from that of a proprietary concern to a Private Limited Company under the Companies Act,2013.
The poster may verify the State Factory Rules applicable and cross-check with the local factories inspector's office.

Dear Saswatji,
The establishment has its own licence so amendment is required, the new license will have the new name after effective the amendment. This is I say on strength of experience as we did it when one of our establishment changed from LLP to Pvt ltd. Further the director of factory would decide as per their state rules. Thanks.
