Can anyone please advise where I can get comparisons between different HRMS’s? I’m particularly keen to see how much market share the major players have. :?: Many thanks for any help! :D

Major vendors for HRMS are mostly Peoplesoft,SAP, Orcale-HRMS.
There are another 12-15 products available in ERP market, but
doesn't have much value-added service as above three.
PPLSFT is the oldest HRMS product and they are the best for HR
solution. But SAP are good in CRM/Finance than HR. So it depends
whether you are going total ERP implementation across organisation
or only for HR. If you want complete ERP, then SAP is preferred
over Peoplesoft. If you are looking for only HR process automation,
Peoplesoft is best proposal.
SAP is 4 times costlier than peoplesoft, 2 times cumbersome in
implementation (they take almost 2yrs to complete while PPLSFT
is 6 months). But if your organisation is of 10,000 employee strength,
then go for SAP. If it is within 5000, then go for PPLSFT.
Third large player in this is Oracle-HRMS. They had entered market
only 6-8 months back, so getting reference on the performance
of their HRMS solution would be little difficult. But they have banged
the market with very geography specific (they have indian HRMS -
which customised to our statutories like PF,ESI etc) as well as
industry speccific (IT,Engg,BPO,Manufacturing etc). They have a
hostile acquistion over peoplesoft (which now raises questions on
peoplesoft's future). Though SAP and peoplesoft also reacted
sharply by bringing industry-geograpy specifc HRMS solution.
So it's depends what you want. Whether your organisation is a
service industry or employee centric organisation, will guide what
solution you need.
Sending you marketshare of ERP_HRMS vendors as published in
one of ERP journal.
Write me back if you feel it's interesting.
