Hi, I want to know whether consultancy companys or import-export companies comes under Indian Labour Laws? Do they also have to follow the 48 hours per week working policy?
Any business establishment, functioning in India with employees would be covered by the respective establishment-specific labor law together with allied labor laws if applicable. Its constitution, place of incorporation or nature business is irrelevant for the application of Indian Labor Laws so far as its employees working in India are concerned.
