Good try. However Being an HR professional I am not convinced with it. few things I would like to point out:-
1. the Presentation title
2. HR profession is choice of girls mostly. ( This is a separate matter of debate.)
3. I could be more effective if it would have answered "how?"
But I must say useful piece of work.

as you mentioned in the ppt, about time managment, bechmarking and professionalism. in india most of the companies i have seen the hr from the background of admin, or from the background of accounts. and how come u expect them to find whats strategies and benchmark techniques??? even sometimes our indian hr dont know how to do the recruitment process with the terms as you mentioned one term- deciplined.
i am specialised in strategies (uk university) , benchmarking techniques , perfomance appraisal techniques, recruitments (US and UK ), and Training sector for all caters dept in an IT,NON-IT,and BPO.

Good collection of information.
HR professionals can take the help of Industral Psychologists to set SMART Goals and covert their activities in the form of data which can be used for various purposes like presentation , decision making etc

No where has priyatosh mentioned that HR is a Female profession..he has just given as example that female mostly take up HR as a profession because it has less of number crunching involved in it..
Priyatosh all points are relevant..i personally think that most of the HR professionals lack in Point 7..' Human Resource has to get more HUMAN'

Hello
The post is in the right direction. However, No 3 seems to be out of place. the qualities required of HR professional is being discussed. This point says one should not compare performances(in an era of benchmarking).the remark about women was uncalled for & unjustified. lot of men dislike numbers.
Anyway discussions such as these are welcome as it draws atttention on important matters that we HRdians need to focus on.

Its just not HRM but a well allignement of HR to the business today. HR is already practicing data, figures, graphs and very well positioned itself in the business planning and vision. Some of the facts sounded to me outdated (like girls prefer HR, data and figure not included).
Today, we live in global market. Attracting and retaining the talent has become a challenge specially in IT and ITES industry. Moreover, we talk about cost effectiveness, look at cost cutting measures. In such scenerio, HR as an dept will not survive in any organization if doesn't have the required skills. The buzz words now a days are sustainability of business, Providing authentic leadership, alligning with business goals. The need is of HR business partners.

Good attempt.but too much text has been placed in slides.slides could be improved.however topic is tempting.
