1. The Ministry of Labour & Employment, Central Govt. vide their circular on its website has published a Draft Labour Code on Wages, 2015 vide which it is proposed to adopt the said proposed law and it is also proposed to replace 4 Central Labour Acts namely- the Payment of Wages Act, 1936, Minimum Wages Act, 1948, Paymen of Bonus Act, 1965 and the Equal Remuneration Act, 1976.
2. The Govt. has called for comments from concerned stake-holders on above subject. The above initiative of the Govt. appears to be good and in accordance with the recommendations of 2nd National Commission on Labour.
