Can some one let me know the procedure to initiate release of gratuity for contract employed over five years.
Is it based on the request of a employee or on relieving.
In case the employee is once again engaged on another contract post for one year by the same employer is he eligible for another payment?

Hi,
Subject to completion of continuous 5 years term employee become eligible for Gratuity for the first term.
If the same employee is once again engaged on other contract ( after a break) subject to completion of another continuous 5 years term from the DOJ in the second term again employee is eligible gratuity.
Whereas if the same employee is contributing for 10 years without any break in service/ contract single Gratuity for 10 years can be paid.
