Hi
1. Things required to start as a freelance recruiter are a computer with high speed internet connection, telephone (both landline as well as mobile), resume database subscription like naukri.com or whichever else suits more to your requirement and finally, contacts in HR departments of BPO companies.
2. In case of BPOs, always try to first get on the panel of companies directly. BPO recruitment pays per candidate fixed fee and the costs are high. So if you have to share that with the recruitment company, what would you earn ! Secondly, its safer and faster to get the payments from companies directly. Finally, with a recruitment agency, you will have to fight to prove that your candidate was yours and 'not theirs'.
3. 'Breaking news' - Companies never reply your email proposals because they are flooded with current empaneled agencies as well as proposals like yours. It's only your interpersonal skills and sales pitch which can win a meeting for you where you may get a chance to prove why they must hire you. Follow the rule of "Sales Process" while contacting HR departments.
Hope it helps.
