Dear sir ,
You can try Diesal burners, that will be cost effective and the stoveflame are safe, good to prepare Roti/ Puri.

There is an exemption from payment of wages act and contract labour act where there are no employees and only the owners (Partners) are working. So you need to show that to the principal employer. But it's a good idea to maintain attendance records so there is evidence that no employee working

Mr.Guru.
You can continue with the present practice of using commercial cooking cylinders, as the number of employees taking food in canteen is around 350 only. Hence if you go in for any additional expenditure like connecting the boiler line to the cooking area, or putting on solar cooker, etc. there would not be much savings worth the additional investment spent. You can interact with Pressure Cooker manufacturers to work out the feasibility of providing a safe big size cooker so that the time and cost for cooking staple food rice can be reduced.

Mr. PPSingh
The point is no so much as a specific exemption in the 2 acts, as it is a derivation of the rules.
Please see the applicability of each of the 2 acts. They talk of employers or workers. Definition of workers is also given, it does not include a partner.
Since partners are not workers, the rules do not apply. There is no need to pay them salary (minimum wages does not apply either), no over time rules, and no records of payment of wages is necessary
But then they must have proof they are partners and therefore not employees. Family members working are not partners / owners of the business, though would not fall in this category
