Dear All,
It has been observed that HR / Personnel Management is treated as cost center rather than investment or profit center. Due to IT industry , it got recognition and respect the organisation . Otherwise in other industries like paper, manufacturing ,construction - unorganised sector, its hr, admin and personnel are same things.
I suppose HR professional have big challages in these sectors . Service industries have found the importance of HR , it is the backbone of the organisation,it starts from the recruitment itself, if we do proper manpower planning and hire a person accordingto job specification . HR can give its return to the company when a person is giving results and outputs.
The second investment for HR is to train a personnel and fill the gap of existing skills and required skills so that the employee will become more competent and give his output .
There are various other factors which can make HR as investment center . Pls give your suggestions to make HR as investment center.
