I have recently got a job in a MNC in a very far location(South) from my native place(North). After receiving the offer letter, they asked for an Acceptance of the offer in mail in 2 days(not signed any document), which I did. My DOJ is in July, and I have not yet submitted any documents.
Now, I have another offer now from other company much better in terms of compensation and in my native place.
I would like to know, if I can reject the offer letter of the previous company now? What will be its repercussion. I have head that companies black list you in case you reject the offer. Please help me, as I don't want this to happen.
Also, wanted to add that I would like to intimate the company well in advance, of me not able to join.

Company has given you offer to join and you have accepted.
Offer can be cancelled from both the parties, Be ethical and discuss with them genuinely about your situation well in advance so that they may not have face much difficulties in searching another candidate.
Always keep your door open, you never know what will happen in future “Choti si duniya”.

Yes i agree with Shaikh, you can have all rights to reject company offer but at the same time be genuine. Pls inform to the company tell them the real fact so that they can consider some other candidate for that position dont delay. Dont tell them in last minutes.................

What they said is exactly true.inform them at the earliest....since your joining time is in July dont make them to wait for you till july & at end say them the fact!!!
Better say them now itself calmly, which would be helpfull for both you & company.
If you be honest in your ways nothing will harm you in your life..
I mean to say if you say them honestly, it wont lead to blacklist & all!!!!!!

Your's is a classic case of creating a situation & then go about resolving it.
I know this might hurt you, but you need to realize this.
When you very well know that you want to stay closer home [nothing wrong in that, mind you], then why did you EVEN BEGIN THE WHOLE PROCESS?
As far as you are concerned, it's just another interview & an Offer. But from the Company's point of view--any Company, anywhere on the face of the Earth, mind you--do you realize how much time, effort & obviously expense this would have entailed: all because you just wanted to get some interview experience @ someone else's expense?
Having said this, let me also mention that you are still far better than quite a few others who don't even think they have to convey their Regret to the company, let alone 'well in advance'.
Just go ahead & inform them ASAP--let not the HR guy/gal TAKE THE BRUNT from his/her Technical Head for loosing you--whether you agree/understand it or not, that's what usually happens.
