i am new to this forum. I have downloaded E Return tool from EPFO Website and have created datas of my establishment. I have also entered monthly wage details for March 12. But I don't know to generate ECR to upload in the website. Can anyone help me to generate ECR from this tool? I cant fine any button for export. There is only import buttons and no export buttons.
Pls help me.

Dear Ms.Priya,
There is no provision for generating ECR text file in version 3.0 of E-Return tool. If you have version 4.0, there is a provision for the same.
In main menu of version 4.0, under "GENERATE RETURNS FOR SUBMISSION TO EPFO", you have the option to generate ECR text file for uploading in Employer e-Sewa (online upload of ECR data)
Please note that, apart from wage data, you have to input employee exit and entry details in E-Return tool before proceeding.

its better to use e-return tool for all your activities. And regularly update the employees details such as DOJ for new employees,exit date for left,wage change...etc.in e-return tool v.4.0 for ecr file creation and other reports ..

I am using the E return tool 4.0. I am facing some of issue as following:-
(My system config is intel dual core, 2GB RAM, 500 HDD & OS – windows 7 Prof)
1. In report for employers: - there is no report format for currently active members in organization.
2. How to backup (on transfer the DATA on another computer) our establishment’s data.
App_Code folder (Bakup.mdb, est.mdb, form3a.mdb, ret.mdb)
The DATA (est details, employee personal & monthly data) in above .mdb file can only displayed when these .mdb files in this path C:\program file/ EPFO/App_code
For backup of App_Code folder (Bakup.mdb, est.mdb, form3a.mdb, ret.mdb)
I tried to copy the App_Code folder (Bakup.mdb, est.mdb, form3a.mdb, ret.mdb) to my desktop / another computer’s desktop / C:\program file/ EPFO/App_code,
Then there is no data available in above .mdb file.
I also open the password protected files (Bakup.mdb & ret.mdb), but there is no data available.
So please let me know, if my computer have any kind of HDD problem & I want to transfer the DATA to another computer for E return tool, then how to backup App_code folder with all DATA.

2. if u want to transfer ur old data to new computer open the following in old system,C:\Program Files\EPFO\E Return Setup\App_code and copy the all .dbs files to a new folder. then install the e-return tool v4.0 in ur new computer freshly and open C:\Program Files\EPFO\E Return Setup\App_code in new computer paste all .dbs file already copied , then restart the system and open e-return tool v4.0 in ur new computer now u can access all of ur old organisation data

hai everyone I am facing problem from login to E Return tool version 4.0. It shows that user name or passward is incorrect but with the same user id & passward I always login to Employer Esewa Services. please help me to overcome the problem.
