Hi, Can someone share a sample Shift allowance policy for India location with me.
From India
Majority Organizations in India are paying shift allowance for Night Shift only as it is considered as a hardship. There may be organizations who may pay shift allowance for other shift which I have never come across.

The amount of night shift allowance depends on capacity of the organization to pay. Usually it is one fixed amount paid against each night shift, may be vary between 200/- per night to 500/- per night ( appx)

Hi,

Though no law is mandated for shift allowance. But it varies from organization to organization. Usually, organizations are paying shift allowance more particularly for 2nd and 3rd shift working to address both the issue i.e. hardship faced by employees working in odd shifts and also absenteeism. Also paying the shift allowance is normally part of a long-term wage settlement with a trade union.
