Hello Everyone! I am a Post Graduate student studying MSc Psychology in Human Resource Development Management. I would like to know the current trends in handling accidents in the Manufacturing Sector as it is a delicate issue and occurs frequently. As future HR professionals, it is utmost important that these cases should be handled properly. Nidhi

1. Dear member, from your question/issue raised by you, it is not clear as to on which point you require any clarification. There are number of Acts viz.-the Factories Act, ESI Act, 1948 or the Employees Compensation Act etc. which deals with situations and issues relating to accidents in connection with or in the course of employment. I hope, you will go through such Acts and raise specific issue or doubt, if any. In addition some cases may also attain the position of medico-legal cases involving the actions under criminal law viz. fatal cases etc.
2. Accident cases in any Sector whether manufacturing or non-manufacturing are required to be handled, processed, investigated and decided as per provisions of various Acts and rules/regulations framed thereunder and not by any "trends" earlier or present as required by you.
