Hi all,
I am from B Tech, i wasted my 1 year searching for software job then I had moved to HR instead of being empty hands. Now I got 2 years of experience as a HR, I left my job before 5 months due to work location problem as there was no proper transport railways or roadways. With the salary provided I was unable to live in a room and family financial problems. Now I am looking for other job, I got calls from 2 xxxxx companies but they said fine and not responded back. Please suggest me the best answer for my situation that can help me to crack interviews other than HR i.e into IT/NonIT.
What should I reply, when asked why you want leave HR job?

Dear Koppunoor
Your case is sad to hear.
However your actions do not seem to match your own luck with the job or your family situation.
Please remember that everyone has one family problem or other.
The interviewing committee selects a candidate to fit their requirement and very rarely on compassionate grounds to consider one’s personal problems.
In my view, you should keep your mind focused and decide the path you want to choose – IT or Non IT and work accordingly. You may try to add new learnings in IT, if you want to go back to IT. Whenever you get a job do not leave it unless you get another better job, whatever be the circumstances.

First be clear about the path you want to pursue as your career-IT/non-IT/HR. because it makes the change to a new job in the same stream easier since issues like work-life balance may compel you to switch over to new job. There is no one correct right or wrong answer to such questions.Citing family problems as the reason for change may not cut much ice with the employers. There can be only suggestions from members. One such suggestion can be that you can tell the prospective employer that you have now decided to pursue a career in IT as it can offer better career than HR in view of your engineering back ground and that a domain knowledge in a subject like HR will also help me in integrating technology better with domain if I have to work on people oriented software programmes or ERPs. You can think of other possible answers also.
